The D50 is considered, by Nikon, a step down from the D70, but really its not. I mean I dont believe so and some of the reviews I read didnt think so either. Its a really great camera. I would have probably gotten the D70 had it been cheaper. I work at wolf camera and I got the D50 for cheaper than the D70 so that's basically why I chose it. I compared them for a while before I made my decision and decided I probably wouldnt be missing much, and I'm really not. I like it a lot! I would say go to a camera shop and check them both out and compare, and maybe even ask for some advice while your looking at them to help you decide. One more thing. I would say go for the D70s is youve got the money, but if not then the D50 is an awesome choice.

hey i really like you pictures...i saw that y9u have a n75 camera....which is what i have....but i am trying to decide between the d50 and the d70s....so i was going to ask how you like the d50....

You should put up what your equipment is. And I dunno how you've been putting your photos on here, but you should make them WAY bigger. Cause it's good stuff but you can't see all the good detail.
